In Cruel Beauty, did you enjoy the Greek-mythic retelling vibe and fate-laden bargains with gods?
If the Greek-inflected fairy-tale feel and ominous bargains in Cruel Beauty hooked you—Nyx marrying the Gentle Lord to solve a curse, the labyrinthine house, the sense of destiny snapping shut—you’ll love Maya’s journey into a night-bound otherworld with the enigmatic Amar. Like Nyx and Ignifex, Maya and Amar navigate riddles, prophecies, and perilous divine politics, where every choice feels like a bargain written in starlight and blood.
In Cruel Beauty, did you enjoy falling for a morally gray 'monster' who might be the only honest one?
You enjoyed how Nyx sets out to kill Ignifex—and then learns his monstrousness isn’t the whole truth. In The Shadows Between Us, Alessandra schemes to woo, wed, and murder the Shadow King… until their knife-edged chemistry and mutual ruthlessness complicate the plan. If Ignifex’s charm, candor, and lethal reputation drew you in, the Shadow King’s dangerous allure and the deliciously pragmatic romance here will scratch the same itch.
In Cruel Beauty, did you enjoy cursed houses, forbidden rituals, and demon bargains?
If the deadly bargains, shadow-servants, and ritual magic of Nyx’s world thrilled you—think of the Gentle Lord’s contracts and the castle’s unsettling rooms—The Bone Witch dives deep into necromancy’s costs. Tea raises her brother from the dead and is swept into an order of dark asha, where bone magic, vengeful spirits, and political danger blur every line. The same intoxicating mix of beauty and menace powers this tale of power won through peril.
In Cruel Beauty, did you enjoy the enemies-to-lovers marriage of convenience that turns dangerously tender?
If Nyx’s arranged marriage to Ignifex—bristling with threats, banter, and undeniable heat—was your favorite part, Serpent & Dove delivers a similarly combustible bond. Witch Lou is forced into marriage with witch-hunter Reid; secrets, oaths, and a city ready to burn make their slow-blooming trust feel as precarious as Nyx and Ignifex’s fragile truce in the Gentle Lord’s house.
In Cruel Beauty, did you enjoy a heroine’s thorny inner monologue—duty, desire, and divided loyalties?
If you were gripped by Nyx’s intimate, conflicted voice—torn between saving her people, protecting Astraia, and the forbidden pull toward Ignifex—Daughter of the Forest offers equally profound interiority. Sorcha bears a near-impossible task in silence, wrestling loyalty, sacrifice, and a quiet, fiercely earned love. It has the same aching introspection and emotional stakes that made Nyx’s choices cut so deep.
